🕒 Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off - start times between 0330 - 0630.
💰 Salary: £34,112.49
✈️ Holiday Entitlement: 24.5 Days.
🚚 Requirements: Valid DCPC Card, HGV C+E Licence, Valid Tachograph card.
🚫 No More than 6 penalty points on licence.
What are we looking for?
We are looking to recruit a HGV C+E (Class 1) Driver to join our Logistics Team. The HGV Class 1 Driver role is a key role that will transport eggs to and from our farms, packing centres and onto major retailers.
You will have extensive driving experience, and as minimum must hold a C + E HGV licence and a current driver CPC.
What does the role entail?
Duties within this role include:
- Driving company vehicles, collecting raw materials and delivering finished goods
- Follow the company Health & Safety guidelines
- Representing the company to suppliers and customers
- Driving company vehicles in line with legal and company standards
- Liaise with suppliers
- Conduct any necessary training required for the role
- Be mindful of product quality, integrity and traceability
- Follow all signs, rules and standards when on the property of suppliers/customers
- Be responsible for the production of the FTA “Driver Vehicle Check and Defect Report” and a correctly completed Tachograph Chart every workday
- Notify the Transport management team of any damage or defects on vehicles
- Protect the value and integrity of product through attentive driving and correct storage
- Ensure that he/she is ready to commence work at the defined start-time
- Concur with the company dress-code at all times, including the wearing of safety-shoe
- Identify areas of inefficiency and waste, and suggest improvements to the Transport Manager
- Maintain a respectful and constructive working relationship with colleagues and managers
- The operation is committed to being “audit-ready” at all times. Therefore it is imperative that site hygiene, health & safety, and document control are all in line with customer specifications at all times
