What are we looking for?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following is a list of core responsibilities to be completed by the jobholder. Other duties may be assigned.
- Follow the company Health & Safety guidelines as outlined above.
- Focus on the key performance indicators (KPIs) identified by the Site Manager, and work towards achieving and surpassing agreed targets.
- Order egg requirements as per business needs, highlight stock level concerns.
- Order packaging requirements as per business needs
- Working closely with the engineering team, agree and implement improvements to the process to maximise machine productivity and minimise down-time.
- Plan production runs to minimise waste, maximise product life, meet customer dispatch times, and achieve the best possible throughput.
- Drive product quality, integrity, and traceability. Ensure work is completed to a high-standard, and all necessary documentation is completed.
- Work in conjunction with central / QA teams to implement legislative changes / management system updates.
- Liaise with Despatch to ensure that packed product is available on time for all outloads.
- Gain a full understating of Mayo calculations and planning for the following days production run.
- Conduct regular team briefs with direct reports.
- Adopt a “Right First Time” approach to their work.
- Operate the departments within the agreed headcount to achieve the wage budget.
- Conduct performance reviews of the production team, and report feedback to the Site Manager
- Ensure that company standards are adhered to.
- Lead EHS & Your Say meetings in the absence of the Site Manager.
- Manage holidays to ensure that operations are not affected.
- People XD understand the system, clear expectations in a timely manner ready for payroll.
- Follow the company’s disciplinary procedures and conduct disciplinaries where appropriate.
- Identify and develop potential within the team.
- Responsible for identifying training needs and support required to ensure legal requirements are met including job specific requirements.
- Foster a constructive relationship with all departments and ensure lines of communication are open.
- Identify areas of inefficiency and waste. In agreement with the Site Manager, implement and review the agreed changes.
- Be proactive with continuous improvement ideas and projects
- Undertake risk assessments within the site.
- Undertake Work Instructions within the site.
- Undertake accident investigations as required.
- Undertake Level 3 HSE internal audits.
- Undertake internal Technical Audits.
- The site is committed to being always “audit-ready”. Therefore, it is imperative that site hygiene, health & safety, and document control are always all in line with customer specifications.
- Play an active role in third party audits where required.
- Maintain a respectful and constructive working relationship with colleagues, subordinates, and managers.
- Be responsible for the site in the absence of the Site Manager, escalating problems as required.
The demands of the business may change in line with customer requirements and changes may be made to the above guidelines. The jobholder should be flexible to the changing demands of the business.
Training and Education:
The jobholder may be expected to complete training in the following areas. The requirements will be dependent on the jobholder’s previous experience, knowledge, qualifications, and the demands of the specific activities.
