The role will be required to support the Farm Manager and Assistant Farm Manager in the day-to-day operation of the poultry site, ensuring the highest standards of bird welfare, flock performance, site compliance, and health & safety, while developing the skills and experience required to progress into a farm management role.
The role will work closely with the Farm Manager and Assistant Farm Managers to support the day-to-day operation of the poultry site, ensuring the highest standards of bird welfare, stock husbandry, flock performance, biosecurity, health & safety, and environmental compliance. The role involves monitoring feed, water, temperature, ventilation, lighting, health treatments, mortality, alarms, and equipment; maintaining accurate records and ensuring audit readiness; supporting biosecurity controls and pest management; assisting with staff coordination, training, inductions, and bird movements; and helping maintain site presentation, cleanliness, waste disposal, and basic maintenance, while adhering to company policies, controlling costs, and developing the skills required to progress into a farm management role.
