We’re looking for a Production Shift Manager to lead one of our key production shifts, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations while building a high-performing, engaged team.

What you’ll be doing
As Production Shift Manager, you’ll have full ownership of your shift — balancing people leadership with operational excellence.
You’ll:
Lead production operations to consistently hit KPI, throughput, and OTIF targets
Take full accountability for Health & Safety, driving continuous risk reduction and improvement
Manage and develop Production Supervisors and Machine Controllers
Ensure food safety, hygiene, and quality standards are met at all times
Plan production runs to minimise waste and meet customer demand
Drive continuous improvement across site standards, processes, and performance
Own shift KPIs — celebrating success and leading root cause analysis when targets aren’t met
Keep the site audit & visitor ready at all times
Lead investigations, disciplinaries, and absence management when required
Develop your people through structured training plans and coaching
Play an active role in the business’s social and environmental responsibilities
About you
You’re a confident, hands-on leader who knows how to get the best from large, diverse teams.
You’ll bring:
Proven experience managing large teams in an operational or production environment
Experience in highly automated, complex production facilities
IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of risk assessments, safe systems of work, and work instructions
Excellent communication, organisation, and time-management skills
Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems (NAV, Citrix, SAP)
