This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious transport professional to play a key leadership role within our Cannock distribution operation. Working alongside the Transport Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day operational performance, lead transport activities, drive compliance and help shape improvements across the wider operation. The role would suit somebody looking to move beyond transport administration and driving.

Role Purpose

The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the transport operation, ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of customer requirements.

The role holder will take ownership of operational performance, driver engagement, fleet compliance and service delivery, acting as a key decision-maker within the transport team. The successful candidate will be expected to identify opportunities for improvement, challenge poor standards and play an active role in developing the future direction of the operation.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual seeking to broaden their operational management experience and develop towards a senior transport or site leadership position.

Accountability and Leadership

The Logistics Supervisor is expected to:

• Take ownership of transport activities during their shift.

• Make informed operational decisions to maintain customer service while remaining compliant with company and legislative requirements.

Build strong working relationships across Transport, Supply Chain, Warehouse and Customer Service functions.
